Is a slide out roller topper needed?

Thanks for all the feedback! Sounds like there are a lot of you that have them and really like them and a few that don't have them yet but would like to! I called my dealer today where my TT is being repaired for tree limb slideout roof damage , and asked for them to give me an estimate of how much it would be to buy and install one for my single slide ( 11 ft by 3 ft).. Waiting for call back. If reasonable, might have them do it now. If not, will postpone until next year if I have the dough... Can any of you give me an idea of the cost of the parts and or installation of one of these about the size I mentioned? Have not heard any $ from anyone yet on the forum.. I don't know if we are talking $300 range or double that, or even more? One responder said he and the wife installed... Is it really that easy? Obviously holes are being drilled in numerous places in the side of the TT and that makes me nervous... Appreciate some feedback on costs and installation tips. Thanks!
