I bought my trailer with cash!, Even bought it off of Craigslist!! Seller was great, I told him I wanted an hour or so alone to inspect, i brought a ladder and flashlight and volt meter.
I asked he provide 30 amp service so I could test the A/C.
I operated and inspected everything!!
I brought change of owners paperwork, bill of sale and took a picture of his license.
Called DMV and checked on a clear title.
Only thing I found was that the fridge didn't seem to work on 110v.I figured it could be an easy fix, it worked on propane so it couldn't be that bad.
When it came time to set the deal he was asking $12,000 (Nada pricing) I mentioned the fridge and he offered to take it to be repaired, It also needed new batteries, So I whipped out $10,000 cash and he took it!! He let me use his computer and I typed out an as is seller released from obligation (fridge). And I drove away with my trailer!! Easy! Nice guy!
Fridge turned out to be a bad circuit breaker,, $11 fix!
