Is it dumb to pay cash for a used rig, private seller?

You all know me; I worry about things, especially at the last minute. I think I have found my van. Mechanic approves it. He's not my mechanic, as I am not home, but he had good reviews on google....

I thought it was weird, too! Total surprise. If I had thought it was a possibility, I could have been stockpiling cash at the $500/day limit.

I posted it here to give others a heads up. Not ONLY because I think rv.net is facebook ;).
