Is my Ram 2500 a wimp or am I missing something here?

I personally wouldn't do it. I've been overweight in my 2500 with rock in the bed. I'm 7,700 pounds with the family and gear, GVW of 9,200. I've been at 9,900 with rock in the bed, so 2,200 pounds of rock. I do have better tires than stock. But no way would I drive more than a few miles like that. Way to overloaded. With air bags, I'd think it wouldn't be that stable.

But to each their own. My next pickup will be a 1 ton for that reason.
