^^ I am the second owner of my truck and the yellow sticker is missing. I just make sure I don't exceed rear axle rating and tire capacity. And I use real weights -- I measure my axles at a CAT scale, fully loaded and ready to go camping. Works for me...
For my year of truck (2004.5 Ram diesel), the only difference between the 2500 and 3500 was a single extra leaf in the rear springs. But these differences between 3/4 and 1 ton will vary depending on year and make of truck.
