I see it as you need to take time out of your house remodeling and build a small shed to store it in so you can quit worrying about brushing the snow off it.
How much did you enjoy the once or twice you have used it? Do you see yourself starting back to camping more in the next couple of years?
While you may have a spectacular view off your porch, it still is the same view all time. I camp for to see different views and to forget about the work that needs to be done.
But a white elephant is in the eye of the owner so only you can decide.
