Where are you getting your information? At the Dealership it costs around $150 and needs to be done every 100,000 miles. Been there done that. Can you provide a work order from the dealer that did your work that so states the $900 valve lash adjustment?
I didn't start it. I thought this thread turned into a BS thread and was just doing my part. :B
I've owned four Cummins Rams. My first was a '95 and I did the valve lash adjustments under my carport at 20k and every 40k there after. Easy job not much different than valve lash adjustments on a Panhead Harley.
Now if others would be so kind as to admit they were BSing or offer up proof of the claims...
The driver of the Ram was also FOS. The truck would not be lumbering along at low rpm if it were floored.
