Is there a difference between 3.73 locking rear axle & 4.30?

The engines have similar power,assuming trans gearing and tire dia is similar as well the lower gears will tow better. But the F250 chassis will handle the load better.

Having had 2 6.2 F250s, the 3.73s will pull 8500lb trailer fine. Deeper gears will just do it a bit easier.
