Is there a difference between 3.73 locking rear axle & 4.30?

What transmissions do the two trucks have.

If the Ford has a six speed I doubt you will notice any difference.

If anything the Ford may get better mpg at highway speed especially unloaded.

If the ford has the electronically locking rear axle it will get you through mud etc that the Tundra will not.

The beauty of the electric locking rear axle it is only active when you want it to be.
