Is there a difference between 3.73 locking rear axle & 4.30?

I didn't look up transmission ratios this time, but if IIRC the Toyota has taller transmission ratios than most other six speed autos used in pickups, requiring a numerically lower rear axle ratio to have comparable overall gearing.
