Is there a gas efficient SUV with decent tow capacity?

Had not considered the diesel option. Will have to explore that. I didn't realize there were SUV options. You really don't see them often. I've not looked at Jeep before. Didn't know they had a diesel.

I may make some short term tow capacity compromises to get the fuel efficiency,until the newer generation of engines work their way into the SUV lineups.
