Is there a separate Ram 5th wheel tow guide

I currently have a ford and for their towing guide they have a separate section for trailers or fifth wheels. Does Ram have this as well - I could not seem to find anything.

I went to Ram trucks and put in the vin# and it says Max Towing - 28,890, so is that for a fiver?

Im looking at a 2015 Ram 3500, 6.7 Cummins, crew cab, 8ft box with 4:10 gears
  • The fact is the RV's that weigh what mine does and that weigh more are triple axle and their pin weight drops to 15-20% is a 24K triple axle at 20% (4,800#) is lower than mine. So I could tow a 28K 5er at 15% or a a 28K 5er at 20% at 5,600# pin.

You can tow most any 5er out there.
  • I realize I could tow almost any fiver with that setup but I was curious to know the exact number. I wish they made the towing guide easier like Ford did. Its easy to look up to see the max 5th wheel weight you can safely tow.
    Thanks everyone

It all depends on the calculated pin weight that they used for their ratings. It's ALL about pin weight!
