EPDM is maintenance free - don't believe all the "cleaner/softener hype". The same material is on 100s of thousands of square feet of commercial space with no maintenance requirements.

Mainly, as with any type of roof, you have to keep the debris off it so water can flow as intended. I suppose some penetrations need to be re-sealed at some point. I'm going on 4 years with my TT and inspect things regularly. I see nothing even close to needing attention yet.
