We just picked up a Keystone Bullet 246RBS last week and I am in the process of cleaning it up. It sat on the lot for a while. I removed the outside frig vent and was wondering if the twisted pipe in the picture is a potential problem. The frig is an Atwood helium model.

The tank is the 'absorber tank'-----where helium and ammonia collectThe bent/kinked tube is where rich & weak ammonia solutions flow----rich ammonia goes to perk tube. Weak ammonia mixes with ammonia/helium solution and flows back to absorber tank.That kink is restricting the flow of rich ammonia solution. It is lowering the efficiency of cooling unit because of reduced flow of rich ammonia solution.These cooling units (absorption---helium or hydrogen---same) are based on unrestricted gravitational flow. The more ammonia vapor produced and the rapidly condensed back into liquid the better the cooling effect.Any restriction/reduction in flow (off level, blockages, bent/kinked tubing etc.) results in lower cooling effect.Back to dealer.......replacement of fridge.And if dealer says 'normal' 'no problem' have them put that in writing with Atwood Representatives signature also on it.Them go open another fridge vent and show them no bent tubing as that is what is 'normal'

I was able to test the frig this past weekend and it worked great. Took about 8 hours to get cool, the freezer was faster. I'll just keep an eye on it for any problems before the warranty is gone but as of right now it works great.

I haven't had time to test it yet. We are going out for the first time this weekend. I was concerned that even if the frig did work, is it working as well as it could due to the bent pipe.
