My concern is that we are hitting Jellystone just north of you and I on Friday to Monday. You know, I have been two years of camping without any protection at the post...but now that I have done some reading, I am nervous about those 3 nights!
An overreaction ... go camping and enjoy yourselves! :B Whether you own surge protection or not you always want to check your source before plugging in, first with a polarity checker and then with a voltmeter ... only then once you're satisfied should you then plug in your trailer. I also prefer to monitor voltage during our stay and although I now use a Kill-a-Watt meter which is difficult to find here in Canada you can do the exact same thing with an Energy Meter from Crappy Tire, about $30. All that said, Hydro One power is pretty stable here in S Ontario and at this time of year you won't have a bunch of dual A/C MHs and 5ths in the park dragging down power anyway. Your chances of having any difficulties this weekend are slim to none ... deal with this later. :D
