Is this vehicle considered a commercial vehicle
I have a 2015 f350 with a gcvw of 11500lbs I only use it for my trailer no commercial use and I live in md, would I technically need a dot license

Just curious why you didn't contact the MD DOT in the first place. A simple telephone call, or visit to the DOT website should get you the information you need.
