Truck is done. Running great with the new HD tranny. Feels really good. Steering is strange though...I think I need an alignment after that ball-joint replacement. Ford guy felt it when he drove it too. Thinks it might be "toed in". Getting new tires sometime in the next few months. Think it's ok to wait for that or is it important to get that straightened out right now?
Truck just feels stronger. I dropped it off at the wrong location and he went over and got it and said he was scared all the way back. Afraid he wasn't going to make it. I told him he should have heard what it sounded like pulling 15K lbs. He told me I could just use the gauges on the Edge chip and not alter any of the PCM settings. I could swear any time I've even turned the unit on the truck has more power. Just taking off from a stop I can feel it. ? So I'll probably just do that for now. Didn't come with the cooler upgrade He ordered one separately just in case, so that should help as well.
So...there you go...crumpling popcorn sounds plus 3000 min. RPMs to get from 1st to 2nd in a 7.3 2001 F250? -- it's the tranny.
