Yes, it is real similar. That Cougar is a nice camper too. It looks a lot like the Jayco Eagle 338 RETS with the smooth sides and bed in the front slide. I like that. We looked real hard at the 338 RETS but it’s 40', another 1,000 lbs heavier, plus $10-15k more expensive than the 33 RLDS. I didn’t want to go over 35’ because that’s going to be hard enough to get into some state parks we like and $10-15k will buy a lot of diesel fuel to pull it with.
Those huge opposing slides are what attracted us to it in the first place but we're having a hard time finding one without the fireplace so we can have the large rear window. Probably end up ordering one./quote..............

Jayco just brought back out the 338RETS floorplan a few months ago. Just after we bought the Cougar. Had I known I would have waited for Jayco. I spent months looking for a 2012 330RLTS Eagle (Same floorplan as 338RETS)and couldn't find one except way out in California).
That rear window makes a huge difference in atmosphere inside. You think you're in your living room. You can always buy a fireplace at Home depot or Lowes and install it in the lower cabinet (below the rear window). I'll be doing that myself this summer with our Cougar.
Happy trails,
