I agree with Leno EV will take over. Yes getting the infrastructure in place will take time. Teaching the public a new way of life will also take time but the internal combustion engine is a dinosaur. Too many parts.
Lots of heat loss, just too inefficient.
Technology has caught up to the internal combustion engine, a better mouse trap is here. The heavy lifting for the most part has been done. Now its a matter of logistics and attitude.
Have you ever seriously looked at the electronics necessary to keep an EV running? It's not like there's just a battery and a motor.
It should have been clarified to "moving parts" as most likely to break and need regular maintenance.
At least listen to actual owners whose cost of maintenance for 3 years are washer fluids.
I could listen to owners of EV's but it seems like most are likely to downplay any issues they've had. After all they are smarter than the average bear. Surely they wouldn't buy anything that would have issues. Kind of like Apple aficionados tend to over look any issues with Apple products.
Maybe when the price is right I'll buy an EV, but I'll need an ICE to go along with it.
