I don't think any said it can't be done. It is just something one has to think about when implementing something on such a large scale. If someone doesn't thinks of and plan for such hurdles, then they are a fool. You think NASA sent people to the moon by just rocketing them up into space and telling them to figure it out when they got there? Or do you think they thought of everything that could go wrong so that they can be ready when/if it happened?
Yeah, Tesla should just hook up all these chargers and hope that the local public works will have enough power to charge their customer's vehicles when EV market share reaches 25%. They should never think of the whether or not these stations and customers will have enough power for future needs.
