Jay Leno's thesis is the eventual demise of ICE where he gave his reasons. Giving it a timeline is putting words into his mouth.
So the debating point is as simple as to whether you agree or not.
I am filling in the missing piece and gave you a timeline. 15+ years and that is IF an intervening technology does not supersede electric. That is 2-3 purchase cycles for the average consumer. That is my prediction unless you want to revisit the perpetual motion auto. ;)
