Jayco Feather Floor - Spend $ or not

All,
Bought 2008 Jayco Jay Feather 218 new in 2009. Recently noticed a 1.5' x 1' soft spot on the floor near the rear window. May have been around a while as spot usually has clothes container there.
Inspected plumbing / wall / exterior. Found nothing. Dealer took a look. Plumbing is sound and says it is water damage. They also indicate there is a small spot near the sink that I had not noticed.
Dealer says it will take 8 hours just to determine cause of leak. Floor repair adds to this.
Roof / windows resealed last year. Used to have problems with AC leaking onto floor until I started blowing out the weep holes. Wonder if either of these could have resolved the leak
Don't have the time to fix myself. Debate is spend $$ or not. Have a seasonal now so could just leave it there until the floor is toast.
Any words of wisdom?
Thanks

  • You could half ass repair it. Just put down some wood laminate flooring over the rotten floor.

X2 if you can't work on it yourself. These things aren't all that complicated to work on.

  • 8 HOURS to find cause of leak ??!!!!! Find you another RV repairman!!!
  • if leak is/are fixed, just put in a plywood floor on top of the current one, pieced together with self stick tiles.
    bumpy
  • I would check around for a mobile rv tech that offers a lower price then a dealer. I would check there references as well. Kind of a late model TT to let rot.
