Keep in mind that "factory weights" are for INDIVIDUAL trailers with a specific set of options so cannot be used as standard for a particular model.
The Jay Flight "Swifts" don't have many options available. These models, as I stated, were optioned to have standard options as dual door refrigerator, tub surround, AC, oven and the such. They also had the power package: Power awning and tongue jack. I don't think most people would go with a large trailer that has a little refrigerator and no oven. If so, you may save a couple hundred lbs.
Also, the 264BH Swift model was roughly 300 lbs lighter than standard Jay flight 26BH. The Swift has a lighter duty frame, smaller fresh water tanks, only 20# propane tanks, doesn't have in floor heating ducts, has less storage wall dividers, lacks doors on dinette storage and things like that. When all added I guess they come to that 300 lbs.
