I would like to think the dealer would inspect the unit before the deal is done. However I'm sure there is lingo in the sales contract that allows the dealer time to discover concealed damage or questionable financial info. Lots of states have 72 hour clauses.
It sounds as though the OP did not know the rig was damaged and agrees he may have unknowingly misled the RV dealer.
