We were looking to replace the wife's Infiniti in the coming year. My current choice was the Lincoln Navigator or Aviator, but we may have to wait until this thing comes out to see it in person. I wonder what engine options it will have. A 3.0L Ecodiesel would be perfect for her although I would prefer a 6.4L or even better supercharged 6.2L.

It's based on a Ram 1500 chassis. Not on a Grand Cherokee. And will only come in half ton trim.

I just wish they would have given it just a touch of a retro look, and not made it look exactly like all the other Jeep vehicles. It even looks like the entry-level Compass. And, the buy-in on these is supposed to start in the 60K range, topping out at over 100K. Holy smokes!! I remember back in 2005 when the much-anticipated Commander came out, was an abysmal failure, and ultimately discontinued after only a 5-year run. I hope it works out for them this time, as they're entering uncharted waters.

Not a concept. Should be hitting showrooms soon, maybe by the end of the year!
