Jeep Liberty Trailer Hitch Receiver -Free Safety Recall Fix

This summer, in Maine, I was reminded by a Maine auto repair shop that I should have the "FREE" trailer hitch receiver installed on my 2006 Jeep Liberty. Apparently, my year Liberty has had some gas tank fires when involved in rear end accidents. The trailer hitch receiver when mounted surrounds the tank. I took it in yesterday to the Jeep dealer in Corpus Christi, and within two hours drove away with my new trailer hitch receiver installed. I may never tow anything with the Liberty, but who knows ? If you have a Jeep, subject to this recall quick fix, you might want to have the hitch installed. It's FREE !
