Jeep V-6 engine
Would like to hear from Jeep V-6 owners. Have had a couple of mechanics indicate there have been many problems with this engine, compared to the in-line 6. Would appreciate any and all comments, ...

Jeep didn't use a Buick engine of any kind in the early '80's till '87 time period.
However during those years, they did use the small 60 degree , Chevy 2.8 liter V6, which is quite a bit smaller than a 4 liter as you indicated . If you mean by 'a dog' you're referring to lack of power...all it put out in the Jeep version was 115 hp, that was with a carburetor.
You're correct, not a lot of power, but not really untypical of any engine of that small cubic inch capacity, during that era.
