Joined the club today.
We've been looking for a few weeks to get an older camper that would fit our truck and make camping a little easier. I really wanted to be in around 3-4k and thought I'd get something 15-20 years old.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Made an offer on a 2007 northstar which was really nice. Probably should have offered more.
But, after missing several opportunities, having a couple offers turned down, I finally found one in our price range, good condition and able to fit a short bed. It was posted for 17 minutes when i called.
1995 Northland 860. Can't remember which model. A little heavier than I wanted, but lighter than any of the others out there once slides became common. No leaks which was critical to us. Fridge isn't working on propane which is fine for now.
I'll get it home, add air bags, forklift tie downs and a sway bar. Wash it and maybe buy a cover for it. Front of camper needs bumpers too. Looks like they fell off at some point with no damage to the wood.
