That camper looks like it was very "loved" by its original owners.
This must be pretty exciting for you two. I'm sure you will find the $1500 very rapidly!
Sometimes, we need to do a serious cost/time analysis, and realize that moving sideways could be as full of joy as rebuilding from the ground up.
Aye, it shouldn't take too long to raise the funds, I'm just glad the owner reached out to me from my "Parts-Wanted" ad :).
One thing I didn't realize is that in 75 Amerigo started making the snap-n-nap with a one piece fiberglass body with spray in expanding foam, as all the ones I've seen pictures of have aluminum skin on their snap-n-naps.
All of the upholstery is original to the unit, and is in surprisingly good shape, though the foam padding probably needs replacing.
One of the dinette bed's pads is missing, sadly, so its going to be magic trying to find matching materials (hey, I like the green :p).
The counter top is in all reality going to be replaced, its that fake butcher block pattern Formica. I may end up either seeing if I can find a salvaged piece of real butcher block that I can use to cut a new one, or I'll use something else.
