Our 2015 Chevy Diesel 3500 duly has the engine block heater. It also has a separate heating system that kicks on (separate from the engine heating system, to warm the cab after the temperatures drop to a specific temperature. It runs off diesel and begins to heat the cab immediately, rather than having to wait 30 minutes for the diesel engine to warm up. Once it does warm up, the diesel heater shuts off. Its a nice feature in my Chevy, warms the cab up pretty fast, even in sub zero weather.
