JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer system

Has anybody installed this system on a Travel Trailer ? If so did you put the 4 arms in the front by the hitch or in the back end of the trailer ? Looking to buy this system and wanted to know , I'm thinking of installing the 4 arms towards the back end of the TT.. I have a Prime Time Tracer BHT.
  • Look at the Steadyfast system also. Only three handles to turn. Took us three hours to install and works great.
  • I installed them with 4 up front, 2 in the rear. Not sure it really matters, as long as you have a lock in each direction. Ours work great. Best upgrade yet.
  • First search this Forum for `stabilizer' or `strong arm' or `strongarm' etc. We installed a set on our TT with two on either side in the front and back; total four.
Be sure to lather all of the moving parts with Corrosion X or some other anti-corrosion spray as the metal parts tend to rust being in the path of road water and other crud.
I wish they had the option of SST moving parts. I have also had one or two of the Tee's rust and have replaced them with hex bolts. Would also like SST Tee's but haven't looked very hard for them.
  • My front jacks are mounted diagonally to the camper with no good way to attach a locking arm to the frame, so I mounted them both on the rear jacks. I've since determined the "side to side" locks have little, if any, affect. I imagine I'm going to remove the side to side locks and leave the front to rear ones.
