I never had a broken bone in my life. At age 68, I was going out of my TC. I tripped over my own feet. I would have landed on me face, but my hand broke my fall, and in turn broke my wrist.
Last week, I was going up my scissor steps. The head of one of the rivets popped off, and I almost failed. I replaced the rivet with a 1/4" bolt. Two days later, a second rivet head popped of. Again while going up the steps. No injury either time, lucky. Had I been coming down, I think I would have been hurt. I will replace all of the rivets with bolts. My steps are over twenty years old.
