Judges gave her a 9

A buddy and I went fishing in the camper last week. When I got home, my wife wanted to clean everything out of the camper. With her arms full of stuff, she did a swan dive coming out the camper door and landed on her noggin in the street in front of the house. She had a pretty good knot on her head but didn't really show any obvious signs of a head injury or concussion. Yesterday, she woke up extremely dizzy and nauseated. We went to the doctor and they said she did have a concussion and that sometimes it takes a few days to become evident. After getting some medication, she is feeling a bit better today.

  • You'll all love her explanation. "Well, I saw that the stool wasn't completely flat so I put my foot on it to level it out and it collapsed." I think it was all a ploy to not have to clean the camper.
  • My wife also falls out of our camper. Lucky for her, I've been there both times to catch her. I now insist she goes down the steps the same way she went up; face into the camper. I told her to not think of these as steps but as a ladder. You wouldn't come down a ladder facing outward, you would face the ladder. So with the camper steps; think ladder. Since then, she's done much better and I don't worry that I'll come back from fishing to find the turkey vultures gnawing on her carcass.

I'm pretty sure the local DA would say I pushed her...
  • Glad she is alright.......

Sure hope you brought home a big catch.

Next time...clean the dang camper out yourself :B
  • Wow -- glad she's doing better. I fell last January....broke 2 bones in one elbow and fractured a wrist and the other elbow. NOT fun!!!!
  • Thank goodness it wasn't worse. Did she have tissue dammage also?

Have you figured out what tripped her?

When I had my knee replaced a woman was in PT at the same time... she fell off some scissor steps.

Janet won't let me wear flip flops anymore... I break too easy.

Your report reminds me... I should look at installing a grab handle for our side door entrance... half of the steps are inside the camper... it's a long drop and we aren't getting any younger... maybe a bit fiestier!

Hopeing for a full and fast recovery.
