If they have the call-in system, all is not lost. Depends on how many cases they have and how many jurors they need. In NY they tell you to call in the night before to see if you have to show up in the morning. Sometimes you call on Wed and they tell to call back next week.
There are no trials on the weekends....set up someplace close to home, and if DW calls Thurs nite and doesn't have to show up on Friday, she is good to go until Monday!
