The decoration trends are running in circles every few decades.
I remember the "modern" trends in house decoration back from 1960's.
Cheap furniture with straight lines.
When I was putting my CA house on the market, I decorated it with classic oak/leather furniture, gold-plated chandelier and such.
Kitchen had classic dark oak cabinets.
The agents made me change it and stagger the house.
I had to paint classic oak in the kitchen with cheap white paint and staggerers brought the cheap, modern furniture I remember from 1960's.
The house had 3 offers within a week.
