Here we go again. Just finished up a COMPLETE re-build on my 1976 Amerigo TC and the hubby is on his way home with a 1976 Apache Ramada hard side pop up. Am I a glutton for punishment or what? Any tip...

Our first camper was an Apache hardside. I don't remember the model, but was a big one. The only trouble we ever had was with the chain system that raises and lowers the roof. The gear box stripped a "pin" once and I could not find one. A friend with a machine shop made me one out of an old drill bit. Other than that, we had many fun trips with that old Apache. We even put an air conditioner in it (a small window unit) thru the side of the camper where the porta potty was. Kept us cool as a cucumber. I wish I still had it.
