I had a '73 Apache Roamer for years. When my ex and I split up, I thought it would be too hard for me to camp with it and traded it for a small travel trailer. Long story, but I'm back to a popup - after dealing with wood rot and rotting canvas in a much more modern popup, I definitely regret trading my Apache.
There was a great Apache forum a few years back. My guess is it's still active. Good luck!
