Just bought a new TT, Snowriver 234 RBS

Rather impulsive, I was not intending to buy, only look, especially since it was in SoCal and I have to get my old one home (not trading it in). That means a return trip from Canada to pick it up, but they came down 8 k to make the sale and I probably saved 5k over what I would have paid in Canada. They are also removing all carpeting as part of the deal, my wife is allergic to it. Only carpeting is in the slide, but it ivolves a fair bit of labor. It is a Snowriver 234 RBS, made by Northwood. I looked at Lance, but was not impressed with the quality, and they were similar in price. The quality of the Northwood was very noticeably better, plus it has the wrap around fibreglass nose. Only disadvantage is it is higher, by a foot. Got the shortest trailer I could find with a north south bed. I travel 4 months a year in Mexico and have just signed up as wagon master for caravans with Caravanas de Mexico, so I need the shortest trailer my wife can live with. Headed to LaGrande to see them under construction and ask some questions re some mods. I want to put an invertor in the storage area, so I can install extra plugs by the bed, as I use a CPAP. Need to see how to route a 12V feed from the batteries. also want to do the same in the bench of the slide for a laptop. There is a 12v light in the storage under there, so that one should be easy.
  • Congratulations on the new tt, sounds like you did real good on the price.
  • Congrats! Sounds like you did great on the price. We spent a great 14 years with our Arctic Fox, came back to Northwood last fall for a Snow River 266RDS. Still the same great construction and quality.

You might want to check out the Northwood forums at http://www.afnash.com/forum.php

Lots of good support and brand-specific help there.
  • Yes congrats on the Snow River. Northwood makes great trailers - pretty much the reason I have what I have. Best of luck to you.
  • Congrats, my wife and I are considering a Snow River 246RKS. I am a big fan of Northwood.

I really liked that model, esp since it looks like you can get at the bath without taking the slide out. Had to go shorter though.

With only a1 ton diesel dually with superspings and torklift super hitch, I did not want to be overweight. LOL
