Very nice. After getting the first edition of the carrier I and am sure many others, wrote suggesting a version for single gen sets. I would just weld the nuts with a tack instead of welding the sheet metal.

Is that LARGE HAND NUT the only thing holding the top strap around the Generator. Seems like that would very easy to remove the top strap. Just reach under the tray and remove the large hand nut?I'm still with the old crowd where "OUT OF SIGHT-OUT OF MIND" is best security policy...My 2KW Generator is secured in the tailgate corner of my truck bed and has a locked FOLD-A-COVER bed top over it. Looks like a well built unit. Front receiver, Good use of space. Weren't you mounting bikes on the front and if so does that change? Does your super hitch have a utility receiver above the main stinger to accept racks or even the generator?Does your trailer have it's own batteries, solar, and fans to serve the horses?

Been this way since 2008...Roy KenHand nut is just a rattle tensioner. that bar can only go out through the bottom after you remove the lock at the top ( big L bend underneath.This is just a measure to foil the quick stop and grab while we are in the TC and not running the generator. Otherwise it lives locked up inside the rig.

It would probably be a good idea to start this as a separate thread, as it kinda hijacks the original subject, and as you've probably noticed, nobody has addressed it yet...

AFAIK, there is no such product available that replaces tow hooks with dual receiver sockets. There is the brophy hitch that mounts to the tow hooks, but it is still a single socket.

I use that same 30 amp adapter. Sadly I doubt that it is still available.

Have you considered that the weak security point on the Honda is the handle? Somebody can be off with it in a heartbeat by cutting the plastic.

When I use mine with my TT I secure it in the bed of the truck like you, BUT I have the Honda accessory theft resistant handle cover installed. Seems to me it was under $30 when I bought it a couple of years ago and will defeat the casual thief. He'll want an easier target.

Spend few extra buck for aluminium one. I bought steel platform for my SUV about 15 years ago and now, when I am getting close to my retirement age it gets heavier every year.
With Superduty you will love front receiver.
I install it on my dually and just using platform for engine work is great feature. Used it for generator only once.

Home Depot sells those fiberglass poles, I think in the mailbox aisle, or down where the rope and chain is.

THey are orange with white reflective tape at the top.

They are also called "snow poles" in Spokane... here in the next month or so, the landscape companies will start putting them out to mark the planting areas, lawns, etc. in shopping centers, so they know where the edges are when the need to plow snow.

The Torklift basket looks pretty nice. They tried to give me one last year for testing, but I told them I didn't have a front hitch.
