Don't forget to stock First Aid kit.
Thanks, have that covered (ex-firefighter). I have a medical kit on the pile of stuff to be packed in, but an easy one to forget I would imagine!

Yeah, I think what you meant by what to you need to get and pack is more the "soft" stuff. I can always find a way to make the trailer needs work, but forgetting my clothes meant a quick trip to WalMart.
What we struggle with is bedding. We try to leave it on the trailer, but it's hard because the fire smell and we get dirty camping!
We keep brooms and cleaning stuff on the rig all the time, that's a waste of time to move back and forth.
We've got it down to a 2 hour process to pack up and an 1 hour process to unload.
Our 6 and 8 yr old boys can't really do much more than get excited, they can't be trusted to remember anything. But, my 8 year old will pack up his 3DS and sit in the car for an hour happily. Once we get there, the 3DS gets locked in the glove box.
They can pickup well at the end of the trip. I recommend lots of dedicated storage for toys and such. It's fine to throw clothes in garbage bag, but anything else is just extra time to sort through.
We've gotten so good that sometimes I can drop the trailer off at storage right from the road.
