KISS.....suggest you make meals as basic and simple as possible. Taking the kids....don't let them haul every toy/gadget they own. Set a limit for this trip until you see what's what. Yep, toilet paper is a good thing to add....also paper towels. Back to the kids....no friends this trip and take some bandaids and Neosporin + some Tylenol and a cool one to two for you. If anyone takes meds, be sure you have those on hand. We also have a special son, although not Down's Syndrome. He's an adult son and everything out of the ordinary causes an upheaval in his routine. Try to make sure you account for this ahead of time and have some familiar things for him to do/have/whatever. Best advice is KISS. And have a really, really good time. Pictures, lots of pictures.
