Just Purchased Fist TT

We just purchased our first TT, a Spree 240 BHS! My wife and kids are so excited they are already making plans for all our trips this summer! Now that we own one, what are some essential extras we need to look into purchasing?

  • Welcome to our World! May you have many years of safe and enjoyable journeys. One item you might want are some basic hand tools. I carry this one:

    Sears Tools

Add some pliers, hammer, and adjustable wrenches, and you can tackle most any minor issue with your rig.

Another nice item to have is a good floor mat before entering the trailer. It will help keep the floors clean when it's dirty or muddy outside.

We also like to use a large patio mat. Here's an example:

    Camping World Patio Mat

    Once again, WELCOME
  • Take a trip to the Goodwill, Salvation Army and lots of yard sales to pick up kitchen items for your TT. You will need some airtight canisters so you can leave your food stuffs in there and not get mice.

I also purchased some towels (white only so I can bleach them) that are for the RV ONLY. My sheets for the RV are also white for the same reason.

We also put clothes in rubbermaid type tubs, each of us has a color.

We have a coffee pot, electric griddle and crock pot that stays in the RV and come in really handy, especially the crock pot.
  • Congrats on the RV !
We bought our first one about 3.5 years ago and still find thing we "need".
I'm sure you know the basics but the first things I bought

Wheel chalks , sewer hose , fresh water hose , water pressure reg. , 30 amp to 15 amp plug and outdoor mat .
Things bought after first trip learning the hard way

    RUBBER GLOVES
    Long lighters
30 amp to 50 amp plug

I have just installed a new flat screen on swing out mount , baby rail over top bunk , collapsible trash bag holder , removable counter top over stove and my favorite electric jack.
  • Congratulations. Obviously kitchen and bathroom items are needed. We have a small gas BBQ grill as well. Sewer hose, and hookups. I would suggest that you take a maiden voyage on a weekend early in spring and see what you are missing. You are bound to forget something. Make a list of items you need during that weekend and you should be in good shape for a longer trip in the summer.
