Thanks. I see alot of comments and questions here about the 1/2 ton trucks. Some here say they are pretty much useless for towing, obviously not true. I wold like to say that I did my homework on it but, not so much. I did educate myself on it somewhat but I went with the bigger is not always better train of thought and bought the truck first then we looked at new trailers. We traded in a very nice Starcraft Autumn Ridge unit on the Coleman Explorer for more room and the 4 season package. Granted, the numbers HAD to work before I a would buy it, but I had a good idea of what weights I was looking for in a unit. Weighing is just confirmation for me that we are safe towing with our truck and set up. Anyone who is worried about 1/2 ton towing issues just needs to keep an eye on not over doing things. just my thoughts on this.
