Anyone who is worried about 1/2 ton towing issues just needs to keep an eye on not over doing things. just my thoughts on this.
It's not just 1/2 ton trucks, it's any truck. I have 3/4, 1T, and an HDT to tow with. I always pay attention to my weights. I'm not a weight police enforcer, but I do believe if a truck is rated to tow a certain amount of weight, and you're within the ratings, then it's fine. I just hate when I tow a certain amount of weight that's within a truck's specs, and it doesn't feel comfortable. That's partly why I bought an HDT to pull my 18k lb fully loaded toyhauler.
