Got to consider ongoing maintenance too... Are you going to winterize it, fix little things that go wrong yourself? Yes, things WILL go wrong and you will need to fix or have them fixed... Just like owning a house..
But, you being in an apartment, you probably just call the Manager and they fix whatever is broke.. I know, that's what I did when I lived in an apartment..
No one to call in a house or an RV.. Sure, if it's under "warranty", you can take it back to the dealer and hope they get to it sometime.. Or even worse, get one of those extended "warranty" things and hope they even cover what you are trying to claim on..
Not trying to be a dick and don't want to dissuade you from getting your first RV, but when your first question about it is "is it worth it?" that leads me to think you don't know if you'll like it or not??
For me, it's worth it.. But, I own a house and can park my trailer on the side of my house for free and do all the maintenance on it myself, and most of the stuff for the house too.. So, what I'm saying is you'll have to fix stuff! :)
Good luck!
