You might consider a used fiberglass trailer and see if would work for you such as Scamp or Casita. They are really small and can be towed with your vehicle. Bigfoot would be best but it is too heavy. Those things have cult-like followings because of their quality and are hard to find. If you buy it right you could probably use it for 5 years and sell it for what you paid, I did. Maintenance is minimal due to few leak points and they tow well. My net cost of RV ownership over the last 39 years is less than $6 per night stayed. However, I will take a hit when I sell the current fifth wheel and that number will jump considerably. The cost of the hobby isn't so great if you stay small and don't require full hook up sites.
