I have a 10 feet recreational kayak (50lb), that I strap to the TV roof. The wind noise drive me crazy...Is there any other way to carry that kayak?how about at back of a Travel Trailer?I did googled it, only a few pics showed up...This is an example of what I am thinking about.but please bare in mind that this kayak in the pic is way heavier then mine.

I carried two kayaks on top of my Jeep and drove it all around the country. I never had a problem with wind noise. I wonder what's causing that for you? I did have mine in a full covers so maybe that was the difference. I used a Yakama kayak rack. Might be easier to solve the noise problem than figure out how to carry it on the back of the TT. Also, I expect it will be subject to a lot of shaking and bouncing on the back of your TT.

When it's carried top up, we use a cover and when it's up-side-down we make sure the seats are bungee'd closed. About the only noise is the wind going through the tie-down straps.I've seen multi-kayak racks that fit on the back of a camper and the kayak rides straight up and down. I'm not sure I like the way the ends stick out so far on the kayak on the rack in your photo.

Wind noise you say. We have 3 on top of our van right side up facing forward. Only wind noisewas from the tie down strap until I learned to put a small twist in them. How are you mounting yours? I am not wild about the rear trailer mount . Partially blocks left tail light.

Our 10' kayaks fit neatly on the floor of the TT between the sink on one side and the bench on the other. They fit through the door and nest on top of each other inside the TT. Works great. just make sure that you dry adn wipe tem off before putting them back into the camper. of course, they have to be the last thing in and the first thing out...

I have a 8 foot Kayak and I can slide it into the back of my pickup, close the end gate, tie it down, and still have plenty of room between that and the TT. Are you certain that your 10 foot one won't fit in there.I have also, at times, just slid it through the door of the TT. I have to get it a little sideways and it does takes some maneuvering so, I prefer to carry it in back of the pickup.

We carry a tandem kayak on a CR-V and there is very little noise. When it's carried top up, we use a cover and when it's up-side-down we make sure the seats are bungee'd closed.

About the only noise is the wind going through the tie-down straps.

I've seen multi-kayak racks that fit on the back of a camper and the kayak rides straight up and down. I'm not sure I like the way the ends stick out so far on the kayak on the rack in your photo.
