I maintain the battery on our tow vehicle with a Vector/black and decker 2/10/25 amp smart charger. I plug it in and leave it connected all winter. I also use it to recharge the camper batteries faster when dry camping (generator power). It has a desulphation mode that has helped the optima agm battery in our tow vehicle last over 10 years so far.
Because you drive the car often, a maintainer with a quick connect plug that you hide in the grill or behind the bumper would allow you to connect and disconnect the charger without opening the hood would be convenient.
