keeping tents secured

Last year I replaced my tents, and one of them just won't stay secured. The plastic channel strip that clips onto the trailer keeps popping out in one area. The original tents had screws securing that channel, but I prefer not to use screws. A sealant would prevent me from taking the tent off in the future if I needed to. Any ideas?
