Good advice here! Earlier this year I assumed that since my fridg was set on auto, it was good to go. 8 hours later, after driving across Oklahoma in 100 degree temps, I discovered thawed meat and lukewarm milk. I now make sure it makes the switch from AC to gas before I drive off.
